TVNews search hints
- Watch the tutorial! TV News - Getting Started shows you how to search for news items, download the video and set up email alerts using TVNews
- Keep it simple – rather than limiting your search to specific fields (e.g. ‘Title’ or ‘Subject’), select ‘Any field’ to ensure that your search encompasses all index data, including synopsis
- Develop your search – use AND/OR/NOT with fields from the drop-down list box to add additional keywords to your search. For example, to find stories about the FIFA World Cup try entering 'Soccer OR Football OR FIFA 2010'
- Manage people/name searches – to ensure you don’t miss out on records that only index a person by surname, do an OR search, e.g. Barack OR Obama
